Your Heart

Hello Friends,

On a hike a couple days ago, a prayer kept repeating in my head, "Steady My Heart." As I reached the peak and stood out looking at the view, I felt so small and the world was so big. Have you ever had those moments where you are amazed by the awe- inspiring, giant world you live in?

These last few months have been filled with chaos and peace intermingled. He is a gracious God. I have been dealing with anxiety and have been working through my painful past in order to move on. The truth is, I am a very shy and sensitive person and over time, I have been hurt over and over and resorted to build walls to protect myself. I think all of us have in this harsh world. -Hugs- From a young age, being deaf; I had to focus on learning how to listen and communicate and work harder to keep up with my peers. Although I am successful in tremendous amounts of ways, the little girl in me never really knew how to deal with my feelings. Now, I subconsciously bottle up every bit of my feelings. I knew it was time to get help. I am learning to unravel. Over the years, I knew one thing to be certain, God knows the depths of our heart.

"O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar."-Psalm 139:1-2

I know you hear this all the time but once in a while it is good to be reminded. He knows what you are going through and sees your heartbreak even when others do not understand. He stands with you when you feel alone. He is the ultimate controller of the universe and He makes all things work together for the good of you and those who love Him. He's got you. God is holding your heart.

"But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve."-Jeremiah 17:10

He is refining you to be stronger, mending those holes and rips and tears in your hearts because that is who God is. He is a God of life, of healing and of second chances.

"For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins. You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance." -Psalm 66:10-12

"Steady my heart, Hold it, beating in your Mighty hands. Torn and mended, shattered and glued, burned and refined. Only you, Maker of Heaven know the depths of this beating heart. "-B

He, the Mighty Lord of heaven cares enough to hold your beating heart and knows exactly what you are going through. Let Him speak Life into your heart today friends.

Have a beautiful day!

Love, Bri xox

"And the decision to forgive has stayed the same, and it will stay the same a thousand times over.
It's a beautiful gift.
And choosing love over hatred is really important.
Love over evil.
That's really important in this age that we're living in."
