Hello Friends
I am currently sipping a lavender cup of tea filled with honey and winding down. My life these past few weeks have felt like survival mode. I have been so busy that I have not taken the time to sit with the Lord. To be honest, when life gets busy, I am guilty of putting God second. .. Haven't we all been there? Yesterday, the reality of trying to do everything on my own punched me in the guts. My mum was out of town and I was trying to keep up on the house chores, stay on top of my college work and exams and teach ballet. My dad suggested I should start thinking about my career choices and the major changes; adding to the stress. I was exhausted yet, my mind would not stop running. At nights, I would lay in the dark waiting for sleep till I was crying out of frustration at myself till I fell asleep at 3:00 a.m. then wake up for school at 8:00 a.m. After three days of absolutely no sleep, the stress and exhaustion was getting to me. I ended up having a panic attack and crying in my car. As tears streamed down my face, I heard the Lord's voice singing over me. He whispered, Rest in Me.
His Word proclaims,
"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?" -Jeremiah 32:27
Distraction and those hard moments often can make those impossible situations feel beyond impossible and out of control. Let us remember, is anything too hard for our God? He is able to take the impossible and make it possible. Breathe in that truth today; God is able to turn the impossible in our lives to possible.
Jesus said,
"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."-John 16:33
Friends, He is holding you, He cares about you, He wants you to seek Him and find peace. He is the ultimate controller of the universe, the One who created the skies and waters and He wants you. Let your soul rest in the fact; He remembers you. He wants to bless you.
"The Lord has remembered us, He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron; He will bless those who fear the Lord; both the small and great." -Psalm 115:12-13
His arms are wide open. Let go of your fears, surrender your burdens, cry it out and have faith. He wants you to rest in His arms; Let Him sing over you. He is going to work out every detail of your life. You are not alone. When you feel overwhelmed pray and sit for a moment in His presence, let Him speak to your heart. He's got your back.
"But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." -Isaiah 40:31
Friends, Let us rest on His promises, surrender our heavy and exhausted hearts with outstretched arms and come boldly to the throne of mercy and grace. Let His spirit speak freedom over you today. Be blessed. Love you!
Hope you have a beautiful day.
